I’m sending a special thank you out to Dana Micheli, Yvonne Cote, Hilary Fosdal, and Corinna Maia for their help offering readings to everyone who joined us on New Year’s Eve. We had a special time, and we will be doing it again towards spring. Thank you to those that joined us in ringing in the new year.
When I did the reading for 2021, it was unusual. Where normally the months feel as though they flow together, this year felt as if it were in two different sections. Instead of the year kind of flowing one into the other, it felt as if the year is divided almost in half. We will continue working on those things we already put into place for the first part of the year by completing projects (personal, professional, and spiritual) and doing final revisions. The second half of the year has us in play, taking action on and living fully into that which we have and are creating. There is much work to be done in the world, and everyone contributes to the outcome. During 2020 we had many challenges to overcome. We are still doing some of that. However, we are incredibly resilient and creative when it comes to being faced with things that we are forced to change. As a whole, we are becoming more flexible and adaptable in the process. Going with the flow is really important, especially during the first few months of the new year, as we are still settling into the new normal.
For January, we will be with Archangel Jophiel. I can’t think of a better way to start the year than with joy and gratitude. Archangel Jophiel is the Archangel of Beauty and can help us find those golden nuggets when we need them. Archangel Jophiel also helps us recognize beauty in the most simple things, including nature, a smile, or the sunrise and sunset. This week, in particular, Archangel Jophiel would like us to focus on being outdoors. Here in the desert, we are in our Goldilocks period. Which is mostly not too cold and definitely not too hot to be outside. It might be more challenging for those who live in colder climates, and yet, if you could bundle up and get some fresh air periodically, it will boost your mood.
Our ally, this week is Badger. Badger is the keeper of medicinal roots and knows where to find all the earthly treasures for healing and ceremony. Badger medicine is revered by many medicine women because of their inner knowing of herbs and plants for healing. Badger can be a fierce advocate for others and add just the right amount of “standing up for oneself.” Badger medicine asks you to be aggressive in your pursuits, dreams, and healing but use that aggression in a creative and balanced way. In other words, easy on the claws and more about rooting your way through perceived obstacles, and in healing yourself or others.
Cheers to another fabulous year full of magic and miracles!
Have a great week everyone, I’m sending you good vibes,
Carolan
