January 25th through January 31st, The Spirit of Water

Hi Everyone,

This week the archangels would like us to focus on the spirit of water. In Native American tradition, all things have a spirit and energy; water is among them. Water can flow, be nourishing, cleansing, and can also be damned up. So this week, pay particular attention to how you feel. Let your emotions guide you and allow the water (consciousness/intuition) to flow. Be on the lookout for areas of your life where they have been a damn built and gently open the floodgates. You may notice some emotional flow, including some emotions you are not comfortable with or even like. Just notice them for what they are, release the ones that don’t serve you, and embrace the ones that do. All emotions are valid in time and space. It is just a matter of how we use them. Ignoring emotions or stuffing them will only create an overfilled damn that at some point will burst. The goal here is to release it in a healthy way and in a way that you will feel good about. If you discover leftover unforgiveness, now is the perfect time to do some inner work and release it. Forgiveness is not about absolving bad behavior. Forgiveness is always about releasing any unhealthy attachment you may have to a person, place, thing, or experience.

Water is also symbology for cleansing, so this is a time to clean your environment using water and also within. Drink plenty of water, have misters or diffusers going, water fountains, do a mediation involving a body of water, and let the music envelop you. Now is the time to surround yourself with things that make you feel connected to the divine and allow yourself some time to play with trust and joy. Dream big dreams this week and let your imagination run amok. We get so busy with life that sometimes we forget to just let our imagination run wild and free. Color, paint, draw, write a story, or just dream with eyes wide open. We are going through an energetic shift and spiritual growth this week that can feel uncomfortable at times, so engaging in self-care, play, and cleansing ourselves and the environment is helpful.

Our ally this week is Opposum. Opossum’s strength when facing adversaries is to play dead. This is actually a game of strategy rather than an overt aggressive stance or that of matching aggression with aggression. The message here is to expect the unexpected and use strategy to overcome rather than escalating emotions. Not everyone is using the tools in their toolbox and this has been an exceptionally difficult year for most people. Being compassionate and crafty like Oppossim may come in handy this week. Address only what you feel you need to and then use brainpower to overcome any challenges.

This week is a celebration of sorts with surprising shifts and changes.

Have a great week everyone, I’m sending you good vibes!
